Red Cross Society of China Guizhou Branch passed on to Guizhou University (GZU) an ambulance donated by Guizhou WANGMAO 6353 Liquor Industry Co. LTD (the 6353 Company for short), in order to support the pandemic prevention and control and the medical service development of GZU.

On October 13, GZU held a donation ceremony at which Wang Kailu, the Secretary of the Party Leadership Group of the Red Cross Society, presented a donation certificate to Dr. Lang Ying, director of Guizhou Wangmao Distiller’s Yeast Research Institute, the first of its sort in China, and the CEO of the 6353 Company. Then Li Junqi, vice-president of GZU, presented a pennant to Wang Kailu as a token of gratitude.

The GZU vice-president Zhang Dalin expressed his gratitude to the Red Cross Society and to the 6353 Company. According to Zhang, the Red Cross Society established at GZU scholarship and student grant funded by China Construction Bank in its “Talent Development Program for the Impoverished Students in the Minority Areas” in 2015, and Guizhou WANGMAO Distiller’s Yeast Research Institute Co. LTD donated 60,000 yuan to Education Development Foundation of GZU to establish the “6353 Scholarship” in August this year, which will be used to reward and subsidize the full-time undergraduates and graduates in College of Liquor and Food Engineering. Zhang said this donation shows again the concern and support for the education development of GZU from all social circles, and he hoped that all parties can strengthen cooperation to create mutual benefits and win-win results.

both parties will strengthen all-round cooperation. Meanwhile, the company will increase scholarship to support the researches on science, distiller’s yeast, microorganism, etc., so that it can fulfill its social responsibility and contribute to education and charity.

Presently, the donated ambulance has contributed to GZU’s fighting against the Covid-19 pandemic—the transport of seriously ill patients, and nucleic acid testing samples collected and anti-pandemic medical supplies.
