Recently, the Publicity Department of Guizhou Provincial CPC Committee announced the list of "2022 Key Projects of Guizhou's Literary and Artistic Works". The opera "Wang Yangming" and the song "I Came to Guizhou" created by Guizhou University were on the list.

The opera "Wang Yangming" tells the story how Wang Yangming (1472–1529), one of the most influential Chinese philosophers, sought, realized and practiced his own doctrine. The song "I Came to Guizhou" showcases the writer’s deep love for Guizhou, in which, the writer eulogized Guizhou’s colorful ethnic cultures including waving dance, folk songs, toast song, batik and horsetail embroidery, as well as the beautiful sea of flowers and the charming scenery of the rivers.
