On the morning of November 29, the symposium on quality improvement of Tribune of Education Culture, the academic journal of Guizhou University, was held in the conference room 206 of Wenhua Building on East Campus. Vice President Chen Xiangsheng attended the meeting, and Fang Yingmin, director of the editorial department of the Journal, presided over the meetig.

Chen Xiangsheng stressed that under the guiding principles of the 20th CPC National Congress, Tribune of Education Culture has set a new development goal. He requested that the journal should stick to correct orientation of public opinion, seek high-quality manuscripts, improve the quality of its publication, strengthen academic communication and expand academic influence.

At the symposium, Chen Xiangsheng awarded appointment letters to three new editorial board members, including Ren Shenghong, dean of the Education College of Guizhou Normal University. Prof. Zhang Ling, director of Guizhou Social Construction Institute of Guizhou University of Finance and Economics (deputy director of the editorial department of the journal of the University) and PhD supervisor, Li Yonghuang, director of the editorial department of Guizhou Ethnic Studies, and Zhang Faxian, deputy chief editor and editorial reviewer of Confucius Academy Bookstore and Journal of Confucius Academy shared their experiences in running the journal and offered suggestions on the quality improvement of Tribune of Education Culture from aspects including journal positioning, manuscript invitation, column creation and academic influence. Yang Bo, deputy editor-in-chief of Tribune of Education Culture, reported on the development of the journal in recent years and its future development goals.
