Qi Si, vice president of Guizhou University and researcher of high-end Think Tank on Chinese Communists’ “Philosophy of Mind” and New Great Project of Party Construction, published his paper “New Form of Human Advancement from the Holistic Perspective of History” in the 10th issue of Philosophy Researches in 2022. The paper is an important achievement of in-depth research and interpretation of the spirit of the 20th Party Congress.

The paper argues that the world is undergoing a profound historical change in the shape of contemporary human advancement as the world's unprecedented changes accelerate. The “new form of human advancement” from socialism with Chinese characteristics is a creation that promotes transformation of modern advancement as well as a theoretical innovation of the contemporary Marxist view of advancement. It provides Chinese wisdom and Chinese solutions to the major contemporary issue of where the world and human advancement should go. To understand what is “new form of human advancement”, we need to take a holistic perspective of history. In addition, guided by the innovative theory of the“two combinations”of Marxism's adaption in Chinese context, historical logic, theoretical logic and practical logic of the “new form of human advancement” should be thoroughly expounded to promote the creation of a new pattern of world advancement and the enhancement of a new horizon of humanadvancement.
