On December 6th and 7th, a symposium was held on students’ affairs between the leaders and students on the three campuses of Guizhou University (GZU). Present at the symposium were Song Baoan, president of GZU, Zhang Dalin and Wu Pan, vice presidents, and Linghu Caitao, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of GZU.
During the meeting, the student representatives raised questions and talked about the problems in their life and study at GZU, such as CET 4 and CET 6, final examinations, course selection, libraries, dormitories, the hygiene condition of canteens, problems in returning home on vacations, etc. The leadership and heads of relevant departments responded to the questions.
Song Bao’an pointed out that all the work at GZU should be student-centered. He said that all the departments and colleges should take students’ opinions to promote GZU’s high-quality development. With better infrastructures and services, relevant departments should offer the students a good environment for study and tackle the practical problems faced by the students. He suggested the students make a rational plan about their study and life during the vacation. He also hoped the students to have good academic achievements, receive their satisfactory job offers, and make contributions to the state and the society.
