On December 29th, “The Theoretical Frontier and Practice of Chinese Modernization under the same Affluent Background” High-end Forum was successfully held, which was co-hosted by Guizhou Grassroots Social Governance Innovation High-end Think Tank and the College of Public Administration of Guizhou University, and co-assisted by Marxist Economics Development and Application Research Center at Guizhou University and the Guizhou Provincial Major Special Research Project of the Interpretation of the Important “July 1st” Speech by General Secretary, Xi Jinping. The forum was held in the online visual-meeting form. More than 200 experts and scholars gathered for in-depth discussions on the theme of the forum, who were from Peking University, Nankai University, China Agricultural University, Wuhan University, East China Normal University, Guizhou University and other universities.
The agenda of the forum was divided into three parts: opening ceremony, keynote speeches and interactive round-table discussions. Professor Li Jianjun, Secretary to CPC GZU Committee of Guizhou University and chief expert of Guizhou Grassroots Social Governance Innovation High-end Think Tank attended the forum and delivered a speech. Professor Qi Si, Vice President of Guizhou University, presided over the opening ceremony and keynote speech of guests.
Li Jianjun pointed out that as one of the first four new distinguished think tanks in Guizhou Province, Guizhou Grassroots Social Governance Innovation High-end Think Tank was approved and established by the Publicity Department of CPC Guizhou Provincial Committee in November 2019. In 2020, it was selected into the China Think Tank Index (CTTI) source think tank jointly published by Nanjing University and Guangming Daily, meanwhile in 2021, it was selected into the list of China Think Characteristic Cases (AMI). In 2022, it won the “Think Tank Best Case Award” and the “Grand Prize of Excellent Achievements” of China Think Tank Index. This forum is an important occasion for the high-end think tank of grassroots social governance innovation in Guizhou to study and implement the Party’s guidelines set out in the 20th CPC National Congress, aiming to accommodate the relationship between the road of Chinese modernization and the common prosperity of individual people, and to more accurately understand the essential requirements of Chinese modernization.
In the keynote speech session, many guests delivered keynote presentations, including Professor Wang Sibin, Professor of Sociology Department of Peking University and President of China Social Work Academy; Professor Ye jingzhong, Dean of College of Humanities and Development of China Agricultural University and Distinguished Professor of National Talent Program, Professor Zhang Wenhong, Dean of Zhou Enlai School of Government Management, Nankai University, Distinguished Professor of National Talent Plan and Vice President of China Sociological Association; Professor He Xuefeng, Dean of School of Sociology, Wuhan University, Distinguished Professor of National Talent Plan; Professor Wen Jun, Dean of School of Social Development, East China Normal University, Secretary of Party Committee of the College of Public Administration, Guizhou University, and Professor Zhuang Yong, Vice President of China Association for Social Work Education.
In the interactive session, experts and scholars from different perspectives on common prosperity and Chinese modernization theory and practice to carry out in-depth discussion and sharing.
