From January 4th to 6th, the first International Conference on Big Data in 2023, sponsored by the university and co-sponsored by College of Computer Science and Technology, National Key Laboratory of Public Big Data and Guizhou Computer Society, was held online. Professor Ma Jianfeng, Director of the Faculty of Cyberspace Security of Xidian University and Vice President of Guizhou University was the honorary chairman of the conference. Professor Tian Youliang, Deputy Dean of School of Computer Science and Technology of Guizhou University and Professor Zhang Yan from Oslo University of Norway were the chairmen of the conference.
The theme of the conference mainly focused on big data algorithms, applications and services, big data mining and analysis, big data processing and query, Internet of Things and other research fields. It aims to provide an International cooperation and exchange platform for experts and scholars in related research fields and enterprise developers to share research results, discuss existing problems and challenges, and explore cutting-edge technologies.
At the opening ceremony of the conference on January 5th, Ma Jianfeng delivered a welcome speech, expressing congratulations on the opening of the conference and gratitude to all institutions supporting the conference. Tian Youliang delivered the opening speech and extended a sincere welcome to all.
Three well-known experts from home and abroad were invited to deliver keynote reports, including the report entitled “Data-driven Wireless Research:How to Mitigate the Reliance on Wireless Data” by Professor Shiwen Mao at Oben University, USA; the one entitled “Digital Twin for 6G, IoT and Metaverse” by Professor Zhang Yan at University of Oslo, Norway and the one entitled “Towards Efficient Privacy-Preserving Inspection of TLS Encrypted Traffic for Big Data” by Professor Jianting Ning.
In the discussion session, the participants whirled around the topics of data analysis and clustering, data model and security in communication network, image analysis and data calculation, system model, analysis and calculation, etc.
With 1 main venue, 4 parallel sub-venues, a total of 3 invited reports of the conference, and 26 sub-venue reports, the conference contributed a new peak to the conference scale. The papers will be published by CPS in the Proceedings of ICBD2023 and indexed in the IEEE online database for retrieval by EI and SCOPUS.
