On February 24th, the 2023 Spring Semester Work Conference of Guizhou University and the opening ceremony of the special training course for division-level leaders to learn and implement the guiding principles of the 20th CPC National Congress was held on the West Campus of Guizhou University. The university leaders, Li Jianjun, Song Baoan, Luo Changjiang, Tang Benwen, Qi Si, Zhang Dalin, Chen Xiangsheng and Wu Pan attended the meeting.

Li Jianjun conveyed the ideas of the 2023 National Education Work Conference, the ideas of the “Two Sessions” of Guizhou Province, the ideas of the provincial education work conference and the instructions of Xu Lin, the secretary of the provincial party committee, during his inspection of the work concerning education, science and technology and talents at GZU.From the perspective of the Party Committee's work, he put forward three suggestions for doing a good job in 2023: to promote construction of the Party, and achieve high-quality development based on high-quality Party construction in light with the guiding principle of the 20th Party Congress; to focus on cultivating new talents with all-round development; to focus on campus security, improving campus governance capacity and governance level, accelerating the "double first-class" construction and bringing out the full potential of GZU.

President Song Bao'an summarized and reviewed the work of GZU in 2022, and made arrangements for the key tasks of this year, focusing on the study and implementation of the spirit of the 20th Party Congress.

At the meeting, 9 units reported on their key work plans in 2023. The winners of "Guohua Award", "Great Northern Agriculture Award" and "Secretary-President Special Award" in 2022 was commended.
