On the morning of April 16th, GZU’s Project Management Alumni Association (MPM Alumni Association) donated 120 cherry blossom trees to the University after the Association’s restructuring meeting.

The association’s 901 alumni donated money to celebrate the 120th anniversary of Guizhou University's founding and the 20th anniversary of the joint MPM program with the University of Quebec in Canada. With the donation, they planted 120 cherry blossom trees in the “Forest of Guizhou University MPM Alumni” and gave the remaining 70,000 yuan to the Guizhou University Education Development Foundation.

At the Association’s restructuring meeting, Vice Presidents Zhang Dalin and Wu Pan presented appointment letters to Hong Feng, the president of the Association, and Lu Zhiren, the executive president.

In his speech, Zhang Dalin expressed that the alumni of GZU, the most important name card of the university to the society, carry the university's reputation. Since its establishment in 2002, the MPM program has trained more than one thousand excellent graduates, who have made positive contributions to the development of the university and the national economy and society. He hoped that alumni will not forget their original aspirations, remain committed to their goals, and continue to do meaningful things for the development of Guizhou and the country.
