On July 3-4, a delegation of seven high-level table tennis athletes from GZU showcased their skills at the 2023 Nationwide Ministry-Province Co-Sponsored University Table Tennis Invitational Tournament held at Guangxi University. Led by GZU President Zhang Dalin, the team participated in both staff (fostering friendship) and student events.  

The tournament aimed to uphold the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the CPC and nurture all-around talent development encompassing ethical virtues, intelligence, physical fitness, artistic appreciation, and diligence. It also aimed to strengthen collaboration among departments and provinces, contributing to the rich table tennis culture in China and promoting friendly exchanges among universities.

With a strong focus on these objectives, the GZU players delivered outstanding performances. Employing flexible strategies, the team achieved an impressive record of three wins and one loss, securing a commendable fourth place in the semi-finals. Their relentless determination and perseverance truly showcased the spirit of GZU.
