To advance the evaluation of undergraduate education and teaching, Guizhou University (GZU) has formed a task force of 23 members from various departments and colleges, aligning with the "Implementation Plan for the Evaluation of Undergraduate Education and Teaching" of GZU.
On March 8, the task force held its first meeting to discuss the evaluation process. Vice President Chen Xiangsheng, along with other university leaders, attended the meeting. Tian Mengkui, Director of the Evaluation Center, chaired the session.
Hu Xiaobing, Director of the Party Committee Office and President's Office, read the notice on staff assignment for the evaluation work. He highlighted the importance of the task force in promoting the evaluation process and emphasized the dedication and responsibility required from its members.
Song Xiang, Director of Office of Educational Administration, reported on the recent progress and future plans for the evaluation work. Vice President Chen Xiangsheng provided detailed guidance on evaluation knowledge, indicators, processes, and plans, summarizing feedback from previous evaluations.
Chen stressed four key points for the evaluation preparation:
Unified Thinking: to recognize the critical role of evaluation in the university's development.
Enhanced Learning: to understand key documents and accurately interpret evaluation indicators.
Strengthened Responsibility: to convert plans into actionable tasks and meet deadlines.
Enhanced Coordination: to collaborate effectively across departments to ensure smooth progress.
The meeting launched the comprehensive evaluation work, clarifying the roadmap, timetable, and departmental responsibilities. All departments and the task force will work together to ensure a high-quality evaluation of undergraduate education and teaching at Guizhou University.
