On May 10th, the opening ceremony for the 11th National College Mechanical Innovation Design Competition Guizhou final was held in at Guizhou University (GZU). The event was attended by Vice President Chen Xiangsheng, Niu Mingqi, a committee member of the National College Mechanical Innovation Design Competition, and several experts from various universities. The ceremony was hosted by Dong Weiran from the College of Mechanical Engineering.

In his welcome speech, Chen Xiangsheng encouraged students to embrace the spirit of applying academic work to real-world challenges, strive for new heights, and be bold in their innovations. He emphasized the importance of enhancing their awareness of innovative design, comprehensive design abilities, craftsmanship, and teamwork skills.

The competition, organized by the Office of Educational Administration and the College of Mechanical Engineering, is themed "Mechanical Innovation Promoting Agricultural Modernization and Bionics for a Harmonious Nature." It features participants from 8 universities across the province, with 71 teams and over 300 participants . Evaluations are conducted through a combination of physical displays and presentations, with outstanding works being selected and recommended for the national competition.
