On the morning of May 20th, a delegation from Oakland University in the USA, headed by Dr. Jon Margerum-Leys, Dean of the School of Education and Human Services, visited Guizhou University (GZU). The delegation was warmly received by Vice President Zhou Shaoqi and other key personnel from GZU. Hong Yun, Director of the Office of International Relations, chaired the meeting, during which a Memorandum of Understanding was signed to facilitate future cooperation between the two institutions.

Vice President Zhou warmly welcomed the delegation and provided an overview of GZU’s current academic achievements. He emphasized the importance of enhancing mutual ties and fostering exchange programs for both students and faculty members.

Dr. Jon Margerum-Leys highlighted the academic advancements at Oakland University and expressed appreciation for the sustained support between the two universities over the past three decades. He looked forward to initiating new collaborations in areas such as teacher training, educational methodologies, and teaching techniques.
